FAST accepts SAT and NTS NAT but does not publish how those scores are converted. This calculator uses your score as a percentage of its maximum (for example 1200/1600 = 75%), which is an estimate.

How the FAST aggregate is calculated

FAST's official criteria use two formulas: computing and business programs weight the admission test at 50% (10/40/50), and engineering programs use 17/50/33. You take one test: the FAST test, SAT, or an NTS NAT. Which NAT is accepted depends on the program (NAT-IE for engineering; NAT-IE or NAT-ICS for computing; any of NAT-IE, ICS, ICOM or IGS for business). Pick your program and test above and the right total fills in.

If your Part II result is not out yet, FAST uses your HSSC Part I marks.

Worked example

Computing / business

Matric 1000/1100, FSc 950/1100 and FAST test 80/100:

Aggregate = 83.6364%

Each extra FAST test mark adds about 0.500%; each extra FSc mark (out of 1100) adds 0.036%.

Engineering

Matric 1000/1100, FSc 950/1100 and FAST test 80/100:

Aggregate = 85.0364%

Each extra FAST test mark adds about 0.330%; each extra FSc mark (out of 1100) adds 0.045%.

FAST aggregate questions

What is the FAST aggregate formula?

Computing/business: Matric 10% + FSc 40% + test 50%. Engineering: Matric 17% + FSc 50% + test 33%.

Can I use SAT or NAT?

Yes. FAST accepts SAT and the NTS NAT that matches your program. FAST does not publish how SAT or NAT scores are converted, so this calculator uses your score as a percentage of its maximum. Treat it as an estimate.

Why is engineering different?

Engineering programs follow the engineering-council formula used by most engineering universities, which gives more weight to FSc.
