How the UET aggregate is calculated
The UET Undergraduate Prospectus sets the engineering merit as Matric 17%, FSc first-year (Part-I) 50%, entrance test 33%. UET uses your Part-I marks (out of 550) even if you have already finished FSc. ECAT is out of 400. Because Part-I carries half the weight, your first-year marks matter more here than at NUST.
Worked example
Matric 1000/1100, FSc Part-I 475/550 and ECAT 320/400:
- Matric: 1000 ÷ 1100 × 17 = 15.4545
- FSc: 475 ÷ 550 × 50 = 43.1818
- ECAT: 320 ÷ 400 × 33 = 26.4000
Aggregate = 85.0364%
Each extra ECAT mark adds about 0.083%; each extra FSc mark (out of 550) adds 0.091%.

Does UET use FSc Part-I or full FSc marks?
Part-I. The prospectus says Part-I marks are used in the aggregate even for candidates who have completed Intermediate. Enter your first-year marks out of 550.
How many marks is ECAT out of?
