The NUMS test total (200) is from published 2026 test details, not the NUMS page; edit it if your year differs.
How the NUMS aggregate is calculated
NUMS publishes the same 10/40/50 weighting on its MBBS page. The difference from the national MDCAT is the test: NUMS conducts its own MDCAT, reported as 200 marks for 2026 (150 academic + 50 psychological), separate from the PMDC test.
Applying to other public or private colleges? Use the MDCAT aggregate calculator.
Worked example
Matric 1000/1100, FSc 950/1100 and NUMS MDCAT 160/200:
- Matric: 1000 ÷ 1100 × 10 = 9.0909
- FSc: 950 ÷ 1100 × 40 = 34.5455
- NUMS MDCAT: 160 ÷ 200 × 50 = 40.0000
Aggregate = 83.6364%
Each extra NUMS MDCAT point (out of 200) adds about 0.250%; each extra FSc mark (out of 1100) adds 0.036%.
NUMS aggregate questions
What is the NUMS aggregate formula?
Matric 10% + FSc 40% + NUMS MDCAT 50%, as listed on NUMS's own MBBS page.
Is the NUMS test the same as PMDC MDCAT?
No. NUMS runs its own MDCAT for its affiliated colleges, and the two scores are not interchangeable.
How many marks is the NUMS MDCAT?
It was reported as 200 marks for 2026. If your year is different, edit the total box.
